Management Committee, Pimpri
We used to
face serious issues in accessing potable safe and
clean drinking water. The taps that we were
dependent on used to get limited supply and were
placed far away from our places. Thanks to the Water
Treatments Plants & Filtration Units to Handpumps
installed by Yuva Rural Association under the WASH
project. We are now able to access safe drinking
water for our families.

Students used to
suffer the most from the absence of improved WASH
facilities. They used to defecate and urinate in the
open and never used to wash their hands before
having lunch. However, after the YRA’s WASH
interventions our school now has improved sanitation
facilities separately for girls, boys, and disabled
students with hand washing stations. The students
now access toilet facilities and practice improved
hygiene behavior like handwashing with soap.
