Yuva Rural Association (**YRA**) is a Voluntary Sector Organization with the mission to support and empower the needy, poor, and marginalized, enabling them to harness equal opportunities and participate fully in society, aiming for a future where **“No one Leave behind.”**

For over two decades, YRA has played pivotal roles as policy advocates, movement amplifiers, research agencies, and facilitators, working towards sustainable development and equity.

We focus on promoting sustainable livelihoods through an integrated approach that benefits women, youth, children, Dalits, landless individuals, small and marginal farmers, people living below the poverty line, and differently-abled individuals.

Our work is guided by five core values:

With a dedicated team of **64 change-makers and 540 volunteers**, YRA is currently active in **800 villages across 8 districts of Maharashtra**.

Key Achievements:

• In 2011-2012, YRA implemented the **Value and Quality Education Program** under the HRD Ministry in Vidarbha, focusing on Value Education and the reconstruction of rural processes.

Child A Change Maker (CAC)

**Child A Change Maker (CAC)** is a **national-level flagship program** of YRA designed for the holistic development of children. The program emphasizes **Value Education**, helping children grow into compassionate, responsible, and socially conscious individuals who actively contribute to society.

Reach Out:

• **100,000+ children in 300 schools** were directly impacted.
• Parents and teachers were also engaged in this transformative process.

The Rationale Behind Child A Change Maker

Children are the future of any nation and have the potential to be the best agents of change, whether in their families or communities. The **Child A Change Maker program** aims to:

1. **Catch Them Young:** Instill empathy, compassion, and a strong moral conscience in children at an early age, nurturing them into responsible citizens.
2. **Sensitize Privileged Children:** Raise awareness among privileged children and their parents about the inequalities and hardships faced by underprivileged communities.
3. **Cultivate Gratitude and Responsibility:** Encourage privileged children to recognize their blessings and develop a positive, socially conscious outlook.

By fostering these values early on, children grow into significant change-makers who actively contribute to a more equitable and compassionate society.

What Does Child A Change Maker Do?

The program focuses on the following activities:

These sessions aim to foster understanding, cultivate the right attitude, and inspire positive behavioral change in school children.

• Voluntary Charity Initiatives:

  Privileged children are encouraged to raise voluntary donations that are used to support their underprivileged counterparts, promoting habits of sharing and compassion.

• Recognition and Motivation:
  • Tokens of appreciation are awarded to children for their contributions.
  • Citations of appreciation are presented to schools and teachers for their role in fostering social responsibility.
